Sakura Matsuri

Concept poster series for the Sakura Matsuri Festival. The event is held annually in Washington DC and viewers get to enjoy the scenic view of blooming cherry blossom trees while partaking in Japanese cultural activities. Sakura Matsuri promotes traditional and contemporary arts and culture, natural beauty and the environment, with year-round events and educational programs. The posters are designed to mix traditional Japanese culture and contemporary graphics to link back to the enduring friendship between the United States and Japan.
