Inspired by the anime Revolutionary Girl Utena, I emulated their use of storytelling silhouettes to evoke themes of fantasy, mystery, and romance. After sketching out the image on paper, I transferred my process to Adobe Illustrator, where I had to create negative shapes for the laser-cutting machine to go through.
